Quds Force commander promoted to major general

TEHRAN -- The commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, Qasem Suleimani, has been promoted to the rank of major general.

The pronouncement was made in a decree issued by Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, according to Fars news agency.
Suleimani has been the commander of the Quds Force for more nearly ten years
